Southy Taylor and Livena his wife to John Killmon

This Indenture made this 26th day of August Anno Domi. 1775 Between Southy Taylor of Accomac County and Levina his wife of the one part & John Kilman of ther other part Wittnesseth that the said Southy Taylor & Levina his wife for and in consideration of sixty pounds current Money of Virginia to them paid by the said John Kilman before Sealing and Delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted and Sold & by these presents do bargain & Sell unto the said John Kilman his heirs & assigns forever a tract of land or parcell of Land and Marsh with appurtences lying and being one Guilford Creek out of the Island Creek To up the line of John Youngs to the Island Creek & down the Island Creek to Guilford Creek fifty Acres of Land and Marsh by the same more or less the same devised by William Taylor the Father of the said Southy, to the said Southy To have and to hold all the bargained premisses & appurtenances to the said John Kilman his heirs and assigns forever to the use of the said John Kilman his heirs & assigns forever under his special Trust & confedence never the less to wit, that the said John Kilman & his heirs Executors and administrators and the said Southy Taylor for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant with the said John Kilman his heirs that the emeditely before the sealing and delivery hereof seized of the forsaid Fifty Acres of Land and Marsh with the appurtenances in good peaceable Estate of Inheritance in fee simple and that he hath good Right full power to grant bargain and Sell the same to the said John Kilman his heirs and assigns in Manner and form aforesaid & that the said fifty acres of Land and Marsh are free and clear of all Incumberances whatsoever or then then the Quitrants to become due by means thereof to our Lord the king his heirs and sussessors and the said Southy Taylor doth hereby for himself & his heirs Executors Aministrators Covenant with the said John Kilman his heirs & assigns that he will forever hereafter Warrant and defend the said fifty acres of Land and Marsh with the appurtenances to the said John Kilman his heirs & assigns forever against all personal claiming & Title whatsoever and that he the southy Taylor he his heirs forever will when he or they hereafter be required by the same make make Deed & execute every such Act Deed or Devised in Law for the better & further assurance to the said John Kilman his heirs & assigns forever the said fifty Aces of Land and Marsh with the appurtenances as the said John Kilman his heirs or assigns or the council in the Law Learned shall advise or require In testimony the parties aforesaid have to this presents Interchangably affixed their Hands & Seals this day & year first above written,

Southy Taylor & Levina his wife presented & acknowledged the written indenture as their Act & Deed to John Kilman & admitted to Record the said Levina being first privately examined as the law directs & Voluntarily consented thereto.
